Joseph Anthony Germanotta Jr. is her father. He's director of an online company and businessman. She was born in an elite Upper East Side neighborhood of Manhattan by an elitist Catholic family. To avoid this, her parents enrolled at the Convent of the Sacred Heart which is a revered and prestigious school. From the time she was a child, she has been a music lover. She learned how to play the piano from a young age and composed her first song of original composition at age thirteen. She participated in an open mic night. Her top singers included the Queen Michael Jackson Madonna and David Bowie. When she finished high school and matriculating at the Tisch School of Art of New York University where she took music classes. After high school, however and entering The Tisch School of Arts at New York University to learn about music.
